Mike Mazzatti CEO, Owner
Mr. Mazzatti completed his B.S. and M.S. in Computer Science at the State University of New York Institute of Technology, Utica, NY. Mike has over 35 years experience, starting his career at Laser Precision with John Gentile. Mike has focused on Photonics Test and Measurement development from the first OTDR at Laser Precision, as well as directing the development of photonics programs at Corning Incorporated Photonics Technology Division, ILX Lightwave, and Fiber Instrument Sales. Mike co-founded TTI 1989, and recently has been focusing on developing and managing the accelerated expansion of the Fiber Optic Test and Measurement line. "Professor" Mike is also an instructor at SUNYIT and directs the engineering communications disciplines including Microprocessor, Fiber Optics, Electronics and Optical Communications coursework.
John Gentile Chief Scientist
Mr. Gentile Completed his B.S. in Electrical Engineering at Cal State University, Long Beach CA. and his M.S.E.E. at Syracuse University, Syracuse New York. John has over 35 years experience in Fiber Optics, and Photonics equipment development starting his focus on Radiometrics at Laser Precision Corporation. John lead the team at LPC inventing the world's first microprocessor controlled Time Domain Reflectometer, and has developed dozens of OTDRs variations and many other fiber optic and photonic products through his long career. Mr. Gentile co-founded TTI in 1989 and has been focusing on providing the highest value photonic solutions in the industry.
William "Amos" Confer Ph.D.
Dr. Confer achieved his Ph.D. in Computer Science at Auburn University, Auburn Alabama. Amos has been instrumental in implementation of our original OTDR and OSA GUI designs and directed embedded development in the Advanced Products Group. With his US Patent experiences in wireless phone system and character recognition, Dr. Confer has commercial and industrial experience as a chief scientist at Samsung Mobile Communications USA, as well as institutional instructional experience at State University of New York Institute of Technology, Auburn University and Athens State University.
Donald Biron USAF
Mr. Biron has been directing Fiber Optic and Photonics marketing and sales organizations for nearly 20 years. Before his current position with TTI, Don invested many years as Fiber Instrument Sales test and measurement product manager while managing the rental and used equipment sales departments. While in this position he conducted internal and customer training on a variety of test and measurement products. Prior to these positions, Don managed both the domestic and international sales departments at Fiber Instrument Sales. He developed his passion for close working relations with his customers, and formal training and presentation experience in the USAF stationed out of the Griffiss Air Force Base Strategic Air Command Wing in Rome NY, Andersen AFB in Guam and Bolling AFB in Washington DC.
