The Electrical Engineering Technician will work within a production team in the manufacturing of Fiber Optics and Photonics Test and Measurement Equipment.

 

Ideal candidate is an enthusiastic self-starter with a can-do attitude, excellent analytical/problem solving skills, and an ability to learn new skills and techniques quickly and apply them efficiently with minimal supervision. He or she works well within a team and is highly productive while working to tight deadlines.

Responsibilities:

The technician will be populating printed circuit boards with electronic components, testing circuitry, installing into case and calibrating the test and measurement equipment. The technician will be in charge of keeping schematics, assembly drawings and procedures updated.

Required Qualifications:

• Must have soldering & assembly experience

• High level of proficiency operating a digital multi-meter, oscilloscope, & function generator to test and calibrate electronic equipment

• Must know how to read electrical circuit schematics

• Experience evaluating, testing, and debugging electronic circuits

Preferred Qualifications:

• One year of related internship or work experience strongly preferred

• Completion of college-level coursework in electrical engineering

• Background in photonics and fiber optics
